Got a late start due to holiday party fatness from the night before. Excellent snow down low, variable snow up high with soft snow in the gullies and lee areas. Went up the standard route then swung over to monitor ridge. Turned around at 7,000 ft and skied pow 3/4 of the time working the gullies down and over to monitor rock. Sun crust was not encountered, only noticed minor snow balling from 11:30-12:30 before the sun was covered by clouds. Looked like maybe 10 people summited with the majority consisting of bootpacking mountaineers.
