boot fitter recommendations was created by tornadoweather
anyone have a recommendation for best place to buy/best human to fit touring boots? bonus points if on the west side. have heard lots of good stuff about the guys at gerks and sturtevants but also that some of those folks have left/moved around.

have never had ski boot issues before, but my current (and first) touring boots are destroying my feet. after multiple attempts at getting the issue fixed (heat molding, superfeet, fancy molded inserts, punch out of shell, etc.), it is time to give up and start fresh.

thanks!

A buddy of mine is currently working with ProSki in Seattle and having a good experience.

I live in N. Bend so I use ProSki North Bend and have been very happy with them. Great guys and they take the time to make sure they get it right.

I have worked with Sturtevants in the past and if you get the right person they are great. But it is such a shit show in that shop this time of year the process takes forever and you don't really have anyone's full attention.

If you ski crystal Martin or Joe there are terrific. It's also nice you can buy, get fitted, ski and roll back in for tweaks while skiing.

I'd recommend Jim Mates, Martin Rand at Crystal, and Greg Louie at Evo. Can't go wrong with any of them IMHO

Martin and Joe at Crystal are the best of the best.

Pro Ski NB is the best.
