The hard part of the day was driving from the city. Traffic and trucker chains on the route. It was sunny and no wind and powder. The lower Outback trail had some “holes” that here marked. Most of the groomed trails had good coverage. The powder slopes were skied which will help make a base. I skied until noon and it was sunny when I left. I drove to Summit East/Hyak and the parking lot was half full. I saw at least 12 skiers skiing the main slope with a nice track. When I reached North Bend on my drive it was raining and heading east.
