Needing some turns, but not willing to deal with epic crowds at the ski areas Monday, I dropped off my truck at Summit, and hitched up to Timberline, and then skinned to the top of the Palmer lift (8200'). Met a couple of telly-ers (Jeff and Nathan) on the way up, and ended up skiing with them most of the day. The snow conditions were pretty good, with 6-12" of powder and not too much windpack. Snow and sleet on the way up turned to freezing fog on the way down, and skiing became making a few turns and trying to scrub off the ice from your lenses >:(  We emerged from the murk just above Timberline and dropped into the Alpine trail, which had great snow and wasn't tracked out too bad yet. It makes for a 4600' descent, so for a fun and safe run without any vehicle hassles it's hard to beat.
