Day trip: Ascent on skins from Timberline Lodge to about 9,000ft and descent to Timberline Lodge.
Weather: Mostly bluebird skies with developing patchy high-altitude cirrostratus layer. Around 40 degrees F.
Timed trip for a mid-morning ascent with descent around around 1pm. Walked a couple hundred feet above T-Line Lodge to patchy snow, with easy route finding on snow/skins up to Mile chairlift terminal. Snow conditions on ascent mostly softening crust to corn. Encountered more crust and rime above Palmer Snowfield. Epic corn on descent! ;D
Walked out a few hundred feet to T-Lodge.
