It's that time of year again! Join the Northwest Avalanche Center (NWAC) for our annual pre-season fundraiser bash at the evo store on Stone Way in Seattle. Kick it with your snow-sliding community, indulge in a few beers, and throw down on silent auction and raffle for some rad gear in support of the service you rely on most this coming winter. We'll have a food truck on site, beer on tap, and DJ OCNotes back for a second year. Come to the store early, as evo will be donating a portion of proceeds from sales that day to NWAC. More details at nwac.us/snowbash!

SNOWBASH POSTPONED
Due to the storms moving though Seattle this weekend, we have decided to postpone Snowbash.
In looking closely at the weather models over the past few days and in coordination with NWS, NWAC forecasters are gaining confidence that the strongest storm in a series of storms affecting the Puget Sound region will have its greatest impact and highest winds in Seattle early Saturday night, just in time for Snowbash. Former typhoon Songda will develop into a deep cyclone just offshore, passing directly north of the area, causing potentially damaging winds.
Given NWAC’s role as a weather forecaster and risk management organization, we can’t responsibly encourage hundreds of people to brave the extreme weather to drink beer with us. However, we are already well underway for the logistics in moving the event and will have more details very soon. **If you have already purchased a ticket, it will be refunded in the next couple days.
Stay safe this weekend!

Well it wasn’t the storm of the century but it would have been a pretty soggy party. Thanks for all your flexibility as we coordinated the details of moving the event. We’ve rescheduled the party to take place on Friday, October 28th, with location and time the same. As the party is now on Halloween weekend costumes are optional but very strongly encouraged – prizes for the best costumes and snow/avalanche related costumes will be awarded!

So come kick it with the Northwest Avalanche Center (NWAC) and the rest of your snow-sliding community at evo on Stone Way! The extra couple weeks has only given us more time to gather awesome raffle and silent auction items. We’ll have a food truck on site, beer on tap, music, games and more! Come to the store early as evo will be donating a portion of the proceeds from sales that day to NWAC.
