Fortunately I didn't read the October 7 report and only read the October 5 report, so I was inspired to go. Snow started just past Pebble Creek, with one brief carry at the top of the hill above Pebble Creek before continuous snow to Muir. There'd clearly been some wind, and conditions varied a bit, but it was a nice smooth surface varying between a very thin layer of soft on firm base to windblown hardpack. Smooth, fast, fun.
