I coaxed my wife out the Obstruction Point road with a combo of gorgeous early-fall weather and carside turns.  We had a nice hike to Elk Mountain, then I overwhelmed a mini-micro patch with 10 runs.  You know it's short when you can ski back up without skins  ::)
The standard late-season patch in the basin just before the end of the road was okay looking, but ended in steep rocks.  I  used the tiny snowfield just past the outhouse.  Small suncups never warmed, but that's why it is still there.

This, my friends, is serious dedication to the sport!

I almost always run out of juice before I'm able to "overwhelm" the slope. Sounds like I've been picking too big of slopes! :)
