Olympic Traverse Short Video was created by Jason_H.
Here's a short video I put together from the 9-day Olympic Traverse. Enjoy! Sorry ahead of time for the profanity, ski-schwhacking and lack of actual skiing.

Very nice Jason. Looks like lots of suffering, but lots of reward. Beautiful country and nice short.

Thanks for posting the video Jason.

I have got to say, I have been truly inspired and impressed during the many hours I have spent reading TRs from cascade classics and cascade crusades. Many thanks to you, Josh, Ben (RIP), Sky and all the others for taking the time to write-up, photograph and chronicle these trips.

Keep 'em coming!

River59,

I try. It was hard to let cascadeclassics, then cascadecrusades go, but myadventurecrusade is going now and I hope to add more adventures there for awhile. Thanks for checking this one out. As an aside I wish more folks wrote longer TR's (like ben and sky and others did) but sadly (at least to me) TAY has been more about short conditions reports, than longer TR's. I only wish a few more folks would take up the torch and tell more stories. I'm selfish that way. In the meantime I'll keep telling tales for as long as I can.

Funny, I found that much more enjoyable to watch than any of the big production, steep and deep ski videos, that make everything look so easy. Looks like an amazing (and torturous) trip. Very inspiring - thanks for sharing!

Fantastic!!! Took me away to places that ring my bell and put a grin on my face. My one critique is that in paces the music was to loud when people on screen were talking. It made it difficult to understand their words. Then again the pictures made that a very minor problem. Looks like a great trip. Also looks like some of those bruises probably still hurt.

Nice to scope out TAY in mid-summer and find an awesome reminder of the Spring. I'm sure sorry I didn't tag along on this one, Jason. You guys worked for it ;-)

Awesome! That is some of the most real hand to hand slide alder combat I have ever seen captured on film. I went up the other side of Skokomish the weekend after y'all had passed by looking to get a summit. I approached from Lake of Angels TH and I imagined you had passed on the other side of it but I never zoomed into your route map to confirm that. Had I reached the summit I thought I would look around for tracks. Anyway as I approached the end of the snow finger I was climbing up the end of it stood up and changed into three big goats! They gave off a pretty strong locals only vibe so I gave up plans for a summit and contented myself with the bowl above the lake out of their reach.

WAAAAAYYYYYYY more enjoyable. Man I had to keep watching just to see what kind of shit you guys got yourself in to next. Now I don't have to do it, thanks!

But great edit man. Some views that were just amazing, seen only by a few until now, and now all of us thanks to you by man :-)
