Traveling From MT...Looking for snow was created by WhiteyWhite
I'm back in WA for the weekend, and hoping to celebrate 8years on Monday. Muir my best option? Or can anyone recommend another place on Rainier for some fun turns? Feltt?? Paradise??

Thanks!

In August we skied The Stash onto the Cowlitz Glacier, but that is probably discontinuous now. There was fresh on Muir this week as said in Silas's 9/5 TR, but I don't have more recent info. The upper Paradise from above Pebble Creek is an option. Are you interested in a partner? I am thinking of Monday too and could meet up.
There is also a little patch out Obstruction Point in the Olympics, but that is a long way for those East-siders.....

I skied on Mt Daniel this weekend. Longest part of the trip is the drive. Low angle easy skiing on the Hyas Glacier. Pleasant. I recommend it.

Its about 2.75hrs from TH to the snow. From Wenatchee, the drive is longer than that. Something like a full hour from Cle Elum to TH.
