Access hike: 1/2 mile
Vertical: 350 ft. (5 laps of 70 ft. each)
Ease of turns: Priceless!

To celebrate Beyonce's (and my sisters') birthday, I chose one of my go-to late summer spots. The drive up 542 was mostly clear, as were the views of Shuksan both ways. Stopping at the Bagley Lakes Visitor Center to survey what was left above the lake, I spied this little (and I do mean LITTLE) snowfield I've often skied in years past. It is hikers left of the visitors center, about a 1/2 mile out, just before the bottom of Blueberry Chutes. Given the size of the stamp, I made multiple runs of 10 turns each. As it had frozen last night, the snow was a bit firm. But, the sun-cups were minimal! There are epic days; epic and easy days; and simply easy days. This was about as easy as it gets this time of year. Ride on, bruthahs and sistahs!
