A fine day roaming this corner of Cascades. Compared to 2012 almost exactly to the same day, there was less snow this year, requiring a few carries and some walking (Foam Creek trail and Gerdine Ridge). Suncups on White Chuck Glacier were quite large but much less so on Suiattle and Cool Glaciers. No crevasse issues but some are opening up when rounding the corner of Gerdine/Cool glaciers. For anyone interested to visit: the trail from Mackinaw Shelter to White Pass is closed between 7/27 and 8/4 for some blasting and maintenance (check the website).
