Spectacular conditions today after days of crap weather. We goofed the ascent and ended in the middle of the ski camp race lanes before a patroller sent us further east. I've always done hood earlier in the year and was a bit clueless about the 7 am lift opening.
Cloud line oscillated from 6-8K much of the day before clouds fully dissipated in the early afternoon.
Skiing from Crater Rock down zig-zag was amazing. Perfectly smooth surface with a thin layer of corn. Best I've had in three skis down Hood over the past three years. A bit sticky at the bottom. Exited via the terrain park, which has a finger of snow right down to the lodge. Did NOT huck big air, what with the sharp ice axe near the back of my skull and all.
