June 25, 2016 Bachelor
« on: 06/26/16, 08:20 AM »

Managed to work in a quick ski at Bachelor, as usual got a lazy start and the snow was a little stickey by the time I started skiing.  The new snow from Thursday, was not as nice as the older snow.  Snow is going fast, and the dirt is creeping up the hill, but managed get all but the last 200 feet! Well worth the effort.  From the summit, it looks like South Sisters would require a fair amount of walking, hurry if it is on your list.

Did you go up Pine Martin or was it gated and then you went up Skyliner? It is nice to start skinning with a short hike Wink

I have always started at Sunrise, that's where he origanal trail to the lookout was/is. The gate to the main lodge is closed, making Sunrise an easy option.

Regarding s. sister--how were the mosquitoes?

They can be horrendous--especially at trail head.
