Pilgrimage to the mecca of spring touring. Rain and strong winds, a foot of fresh powder, and blue sky. Skied NE Face on Lassen and Hotlum Wintun on Shasta. Coverage is excellent. Nice soak at Stewart Hot Springs. "I like it up here".

Way to get it!  Brings back timeless memories from both routes.  Were you able to drive all the way to Brewer Creek TH, and were you walking for a good while? I like it up there too.

Brewer Creek road is clear to TH.  We were able to pick our way through the trees on our ski descent a few 100 yards away from TH.

Nice!  Visibility on Lassen didn't look too ideal in that video... :)

Shasta and Lassen sure have been delivering this year in CA, what a difference a year makes.  And these late season refresher storms haven't hurt!  I was up on Shasta the same day as you, but the other side on Shastina.  Went up Diller Canyon, rode Angel Wings in 2 feet of epic blower pow, and Diller in epic breakable crust :) as the sun was setting.  Surreal day!

Nice photos! We had a great day on Shasta. Never had pow like that off a summit. Glad it rocked on the other side of the mountain. We were hoping to take a stab at Shastina as well but the Lassen day had us drying our gear out. I finally got out of Washington; the Southern Cascade volcanos are a must...
