A very hot day! I was able to start skinning after I climbed over the hump between Olallie Meadows and the basin. A couple short carries down low and a little extra distance to keep it more continuous. Saw a few other skiers. There was a Mountaineers group camped out and doing self arrest practice. The ridge is completely melted out. Went down skier's right and then back to the left down lower. The hot weather will end Silver skiing very soon.

Are you the one I met at the TH? I was the guy with the dog just coming out when you were going in. If so, good to meet you again.
Yes, this hot weather will end the skiing at Silver Peak, but it was good skiing yesterday.

I don't think it was me you met. I started up at 4pm. I saw 3 other skiers but no one with a dog.
