WA Cascades West Slopes South (Mt Rainier)

Pollen Free corn ! Dave Ken and myself parked at Relection lake skinned up to castle saddle, Skied south slope down 1500' at 1100am . Just great ! Did a climbing traverse over to Foss Peak -50' . Only person we saw was a very nice Hippie holdout / Teleskier holdout named Bill .Skied out and down Sunbeam drainage. Walked a 1/2 mile back to the car. Good smooth corn and no pollen!
Re "holdout" I'm old enough to remember in the 50s and early 60s they were still finding Japanese Soldiers on those remote pacific Islands who were left behind and were still true to the cause. Honorable men except they didn't know the war was over.
Having been both a hippie and a teleskier I' think I can get away with saying it .
