5/15 Timberline

Winter came back for a visit. What a change a couple of days makes. Friday I was skiing in sunglasses and had to stop off at the Sandy Goodwill to buy shorts on the way home. Yesterday I woke up to hear reports of new snow.
Rain all the way up Timberline road but sure enough more snow than anything else was falling once we got to Gypsy island.
Got enough fresh snow for my wife to slash and spray snow over my head.

How's the coverage west of the chairs? I know everything below the lodge is closed now, but what's your guess on how late the snowfields towars zigzag will last?

Coverage is still good out west. Should hold up fine for a while. I was out there yesterday and above the canyons it is super easy to traverse back to the resort. If you ski down into Big Zig or little zig you will need to take your skis off and hike over rocks to get back out. It has been this way since sometime last month.
