Helens is in great shape. Easy walk to 4500' from the snowpark, skinned to crater summit from there. Did a lap towards Butte Camp Dome on perfect corn, then back to the rim for a slightly slushier run on the worm flows. Only a handful of people on the mountain. Get it while the gettin is good!
Any recent Beta? I'm headed up Sunday, curious if skis will be worth it; I'll be with a party of butt-sliders.
Why wouldn't you take your skis? It's volcano season!
Can you park at the climber's biviouc and take the summer route or is it still park at the sno park and take worm flows route? I've only done it when there is plenty of snow. Not super interested in hiking miles to snow with skis on my back.
