May 10, 2016 Mt Bachelor

Great weather and wonderful corn snow. It starts at 8 a.m. Pine marten Express is the beginning of the day and you head east. Pine marten Express offers great trails that are groomed but it takes 90 minutes before they are creamy. The Skyliner Express has fantastic Trails for the first hour. Jill loves the Cliffhanger Trail which is fast with drops. The parks don't really get cream for at least 2 hours. Summit Express lift is really creamy at 10 a.m. at noon you return to Pine express for the best things in the afternoon. We really love this place.

Zap, if it's starting to heat up early in the morning then head straight up to the Summit chair and ski the more easterly aspects. Even when Pine Marten is still crunchy (due to shadows) early in the morning the east-facing chutes up top are somewhat soft. At the same time they don't cook into mush as quickly.
