Kam, Justin, Joe and I departed Seattle around 1330h on Friday and made it out of the metro area without much traffic trouble. From Cayuse Pass we made a tactical light-and-fast strike on Sheep Skull Gap. Crux of the route was finding where to store climbing skins for descent when all you've got is boardshorts. We found excellent schussing conditions down both of the two skiable gullies.

We descended out of the park to make camp in The Forest. A highlight of the trip came when Justin and I defeated Kam and Joe with a come-from-behind victory in a heated game of Beersbee, as alpenglow touched the craggy peaks above camp.

Skied the Inter the next day, for conditions there see frankfrank's report from May 6. Fun to watch a pair of two ski down the Emmons as we sat barefoot on Steamboat Prow.

Vive le ski d'été!
Bummed to have had to bail on this! Next time
