You can still see north facing snow at the pass do I was lured by it. Drove FS9716 about 2 miles till snow stopped me. Road walked up to 9712 where I went left for or a mile till I got to steep road cut snow. A total approach of about 3 miles. It looked lots better from the hiway than it skied. Some bad combination of steep, rotten, icy, slushy, and dirty. The best skiing was the half mile of ice on the road before it faded out. I give up...
