The Rock Creek Road is open to the Pack Station which is at about 9800'.  We had a late start, and it was a warm day with a slight wind. Our goal was Patrician Bowl.  We have toured and skied this enormous bowl many times, with its great variety of lines. There was some snow at the end of the plowed area, and we poked around the boulders and creek and then started climbing through the trees until there was no trail but plenty of boulders. No fun, so we went back to the road. The road still has snow on it, and it was an easy X-country style tour. We have climbed and skied Pointless Peak in the past and that became our next goal. We toured up the road and found the access was another boulder and cliff climb to get to the starting point. OK, back down and go further along the road.  At Mosquito Flats, which is at 1 mile, we met a Bishop local and got the update for some skiable terrain (which requires a long approach). It was now 4:30pm and time to get back. It has been a  low snow year in this canyon.
