Mar 27, 2016 - Alpental, Reverse Powder Day

With only 3-4" new on the upper mountain and 0 at the bottom, the day got off to a slow start. However, Mother Nature kicked things up a notch around 11am and started dumping 1-2" an hour for the remainder of the day. Mid-mountain rode great as there wasn't much crust beneath the new, while the padded seat environs required some additional stacking before it was enjoyable to lap 2. Top-to-bottoms via International and Shot Six delivered the goods in the early afternoon, however Patrol shut down both with an hour left to go due to stability concerns. The crowd noticeably increased at that point and a tiny line formed for chair 2 but it quickly dissipated as the 4 pm closing time drove most folks to their cars amidst the wet, relentless snow that fell all afternoon. 6" new on the car at the end of the day, with easily double that up top. No ops 'til Thursday
