The IFSA Collegiate Freeride Tour had it's 3rd stop in Aspen/Snowmass, and today was the qualifiers on The Wall, an Extreme area (which is black diamond in WA). Graham laid down a sick run, and was one of the three to hit the big cliff on the right, and actually hit it the biggest. But......the judges on scored him in 20th. Looks like tomorrow he will just need to go bigger and badder. LOL.

Sounds like the judges are exercising favoritism. I've always been sketched on judged events, which is why I regret not taking up alpine ski racing while in my 20s as there is no judging in racing except beating the clock.

^^^^ Agreed, judged sports are hard to swallow sometimes.

I chalk it up to bad luck more than anything. It looked like a backslap on the landing but it wasn't when you watch the slow mo. I saw it too from my angle and the judges had the same angle. So I get it, just doesn't feel good.

Had that been skied away like that back in the mid to late 90s, that would have almost been a certain win, if not a win. After watching a handful of old school competitions back from the early 90s, going off something that big and hip checking was big points! lol

^^^^HAHAHAHAHAHA. Me too Bobby. And yes, just hurts watching it.

Well, G did go bigger yesterday........and so did the competition. G crashed on a 40 footer to hard pack, but a few made that hit including a backflip. And there was a 50 footer that some guys tried. Will have vid later today.
