March 12, 2016, Lichtenwasser Lake

Rain/snain at the trailhead and during the early part of the day created low expectations, so we were pleasantly surprised with fun turns up high. Rain changed to snow as we climbed at about 4000' and a cold front moved through mid-morning. Debris from wet avys on south facing slopes probably from Wednesday. Breakable crust about 2-3" down below 4600'.

A short run on the NW aspect below the lake, and then a surprisingly fun run down NE aspect from the lake. Turns were heavy much of the time but we made it work. Best turns were definitely those above about 4400'. Creek crossing took a few minutes on the way out and there are plenty of boulders exposed down low both likely results of recent rains. We rode the splitboards out down the road in tour mode without skins so good times were had by all. JR took a pow shot of me that makes it looks like an epic day, win!
