March 9, 2016 Angel Fire,NM

Another sunny spring day.  This is a low key area with a great feel, both with the employees and how they manage the terrain. We picked up our free tickets with our Powder Alliance Passes. Jill has been looking at vehicle license plates, and Angel Fire has more Texas folks then any other ski area we have been at.  We rode the lifts with families who come here yearly.  There are 2 express lifts.  The terrain is all tree lined and they have numerous snow machines. No tree skiing at this time of the year and a few trails are closed due to lack of snow. It was a groomer day with speed.  At noon they opened the back side which has numerous trails that were groomed and had received an inch of snow overnight.  Jill and I skied a couple of these where we did “figure eight” lines.  It was fun to do screamer runs top to bottom and then do them again and again and again.  It does not have to be boot or knee or waist deep snow for us to have grins on our faces.  It is all about fun, and it was a great fun spring day.
