North faces are holding up beautifully. 8-10" of consistent, even, "old" powder. All other aspects suck. Breakable crust, topped with recent light snow and wind-transported snow. Good for practicing jump turns and self-inspiring yells, not much else. The snowfield sounded even worse (report from descending rider: "It's a nightmare of rimed crust over cold snow."). The sunset lasted for hours. Turns in red snow are delicious.
