With nasty weather in the forecast and considerable avvy danger, I decided to take a run at Kachess Ridge in hopes of finding better weather. (Moreso than good snowboarding) Found the sun! The snow begins at the road which adds on a whopping 1.5 miles before reaching a trail that is snow free for the first two miles. Hit snow consistently at around 3,000 ft and enjoyed some sticky snowboarding down from the summit. (No complaints about the snow considering I knew what I was getting into from the start.) All in all, a fun day off I90!
