We return to one of our favorite areas using our Fusion/Powder Alliance Passes for our free lift tickets to get some spring skiing and work on our suntans.  This year it is in great shape with a solid snow pack.  We only skiied the groomers and learned again that the sun is your friend, especially when it hits the groomer you're skiing.  Early groomers are not fun for about 2 hours.  Sierra has a north and west exposure for its trails.  Looking to the north over the highway are backcountry lines in the forest peaks.  Years ago Sierra-at-Tahoe was a partner of Snoqualmie Summit, but things change.  The tree skiing is fantastic on a powder day.  There is a major storm cycle arriving Sunday for several days with 2-3 foot expected at high elevation on the crest.  If the 100 inch storm cycle is only half of that, it will be 'smile' days. ;)

Used to love Sierra Ski Ranch. Dynamite and Preachers Passion! Skied there once in October.
