Blackcomb - 2/25

It was a BIG day. Blue bird skies with some high wispy clouds and temperatures a couple degrees warmer than yesterday. Another day with no lift lines. As soon as Crystal Chair opened, we headed there for repeated trips down chair line. Great bumps, big drops, and the occasional break across the groomed to the next face. Did one run down Arthurs Choice. So sad, not so good today. Just before lunch, did a few runs on Glacier including Secret Chute which once again had great snow. After lunch, really stepped it up with runs down Secret Chute, Pakalolo, Climax, Sudan, and Ruby's Bowl from the top. Also headed out to the Blackcomb Glacier for some wide open skiing. Best snow was Ruby's Bowl with Secret Chute and Crystal chair line being close seconds. It got warm in the afternoon, but not so warm as to mess up the snow or require shedding the coat. Face definitely got sun today.

No soup. LD had a great salmon sandwich and I had a chicken breast bacon cheddar sandwich. Very good.

It was a gold letter day for LD. 41K. Definitely enjoyed the cocktail and hot tub apres ski.

Oh, thanks ddk for the tip on the Mexican restaurant next to Blacks Pub. A unique twist on all the Mexican favorites and excellent.

One more day at the BIG resorts.
