For the morning skin up on south slopes we had blue skies, light wind, and 4-8" slightly dense two day old snow. At the crest there was a 20mph east wind. Northeast and north lines had light 4-12" powder, south and southwest lines were smooth 4-8" butter becoming heavier and thicker below 4500'. F-18 and C-141 training flights provided patriotic fun.
Ha, we almost crossed paths. I was riding the slopes west of lake Valhalla, and watched you guys climbing the burg. The flyovers were wild!
