We had a leisurely tour to Pineapple Pass. There were a least 40 folks on the way up to Snow Lake, including a couple classes. The steep tree-ed slope required a new track, which was some work in the loose new 10 inches on top and variable below. Towards the top we found another track and gladly hopped on this to the pass. No down tracks so the first party of the day dropped over the other side.
Upper slopes were best - stable newly deposited powder-like and then a bit wind affected lower in the basin. Deeper wind transferred snow in the steep trees was heavier but manageable. No slides or signs of instability observed. The bobsled ride out - the usual.
