Knew the cold front blew in somewhat on Friday night. Predictions of "8"-12" in the passes" not evident on drive up. Arrived parking lot at 5:45 AM. Lot scrapers not yet in action, but really noisy soon after. Headlamp skinned directly up face of main run. Topped at 6:30, and made first run on backside in flat dawn light. Snow depth, about 8", and nicely soft on top of louder scraping. Turns a bit tentative. Back to top, and then shoved off backside lift platform, where the snow was nicely soft, and undisturbed. Oh, what a feeling! Back to top, and then ski to car on front-side. Only about 4" of soft snow on top of refrozen corduroy from last night's grooming. Am loving the dawn patrol's this season, as I can get to Georgia's Bakery in NB before all of the good stuff is claimed for the day! Home to stuff my face by 10 AM.
Oh, man, a dawn-patrol to North Bend bakery linkup. Genius.
