Stevens - Thur 2/11

Yea, I'm dumb enough to go up in the rain, but it really was not that bad. The morning was actually good. It didn't start raining enough to bother until about noon, and even then was intermittent to moderate. Sky WAS RUNNING as was 7th. Vis was flat light but not foggy. Off piste was challenging I spent most of my time bombing empty groomers. Best run was lower Pegasus, accessed by taking the cat track skiers left off of Aquarius. Warm weather wax helped a lot.

I'm trying to decide between Hurricane Ridge and Stevens lifts Saturday---the only day with snow forecast.
What do you think the Pass will be like?

I got damp, not soaked.  Was a gortex day though.  Sat. guess - off piste frozen with not enough coverage to make it fun. Groomed  should be ok.  Backcountry ok if underlying surface is smooth.  good luck. Also Stevens on a weekend is a zoo. Get there early because the parking lots can totally fill and the lift lines BIG.
