February 6-7, 2016, Whitewater

Skied various sidecountry on the 6th including the SW face of the White Queen. Snow started to get a little sun affected late in the day on Sat but still very shredable. Once the sidecountry access opened off the Summit Chair people started getting real aggressive skiing off the summit of Ymir and the various chutes off its shoulder. By the end of the day on the 7th most of the sidecountry was skied out. In stark contrast the east facing bowls off Ymir remained empty with our group being the only one in the basin. Wish the temps were staying cold so we could get some more exploring in but that's the way she goes.

Mid boot ski pen on east aspects and sheltered terrain. Other Alpine aspects were wind slabbed or had a weak sun crust on the 7th.
