My schedule is still pointing at Hyak as the best way to maximize vert and still get to the office at a reasonable time. About a dozen other people agreed this morning...
Decent overnight snow (8-10") was fairly heavy down low (I blame wind direction shift around midnight since the pass temps were still below freezing). Top half was real nice, though. Steep pitch under the chair lower down where it was heavy balled up and I destroyed the whole face with one turn... sorry!

Shocked just shocked how many tracks were on the main down route at 9am. Skinned up first third in the rain. Snowing lightly but heavy (I'm trying to make this sound better than it was ) At the top. Skied 2 runs and ended up wet at silver fir lodge for clam chowder. After lunch one more skin up to top of Rampart chair for a scientific 3rd opinion to confirm the lack of quality.
Mt rainier was closed again and Stevens was too far for us today.
