February 2, 2016 Sun Valley

We spent the night in Ketchum on the 1st and the temperature dropped to -3 during the night.  Hmmm. Fortunately our furnace worked just fine so we were warm and cozy.  We parked at the Warm Springs day lodge, and it was now up to 6 degrees.  We picked up our free Mountain Collective day tickets. There were no lift lines and most of the people in the lodge were our ages, plus some.  We wore many extra layers to stay warm (could barely zip our jackets).  We started skiing in the sun and it was a bit warmer. It has been 30 years since last skiing at Sun Valley.  They have some great terrain and we only skiied the groomers, BUT they were firm, very firm, requiring sharp edge turns.  The trails were groomed, but the first skiers had the most fun.  It got up to 19 degrees with no wind.  It is supposed to warm up tomorrow.
