We woke to sunny skies, 20 degree temps, and 5” of new overnight.  It is about 17 miles from Bozeman and Montana State University.  We know that powder days bring out the students.  We have skiied here for the last two years with our Timberline Fusion passes which lets us ski for free.  Many folks know of the  upper terrain from numerous movies.  The Ridge Terrain provides the place to ski/board whenever you need to get your heart pumping on high.  The day started with a big line for Sunnyside lift and for a short time at Virginia City lift.  The locals were going high to climb to the Ridge.  We are old so we followed the older locals to their stashes.  The wind was up and our tracks were covered by the second lift ride.  It was a great powder tree-skiing day.  It is amazing - Jill's eye for powder lines.  She is open to go anywhere with a smile. ;)  She loved the following trails: Crazy Woman, Powder Puff and Upper Sawmill Gulch.  We spend more time on the right side near the new Alpine Cabin.  Another fun powder day, which is much easier on our legs than the heavier PNW snow.

So stoked to see you two romping around the West yet again. Someday, we'll be wise enough to follow.
