Jan 23 49 degree North Back Country.

Starting my annual ski bum week with my old ski and climbing buddy Mike Lambert. Mike has been raising 3 active boys who are now in there early teen years and want to get into the ski world.  Mike has always talked about getting back into tele and this is the year.  There is limited  back country info for the 49 degree North area but some of the locals directed us to a logging road that lead out to access the power line maintainance corridor.  We had a fun day yoyoing a nice slope with what would be normal for the Mt. Baker area but heavy wet for the Northeast part of the state. Tomorrow takes me up to Scottish Lakes High Camp until Friday.
