Lots of snow coverage and a stiff breakable crust was what the day was all about. Easy fast skinning - and terrible downhill skiing. Awkward stepped snowplows, tail riding, and even a kick turn - poorly done. I was concerned about avalanche danger, but even side hilling snowmobiles on steep road cuts hadn't gotten any results
The next few days should be good for uphill and flat travel. Time to explore and try not to break a leg on the way down.
