Yes that really was lame yesterday as it was my one day to ski this week. RATS.

Snowed all day today, top to bottom. Yesterday's tracks/trenches were the primary impediment to skiing off the groomers, but the more it snowed, the more reasonable things became. Nash entrance was friendly. Lots 'o chunder in the usual places.

Think fat skis in order to float above the crust/sogginess below today's new snow. Upper snowpack below today's new was soggy below 4k, perhaps less-so above 4k.

Thanks, Alpy, for showing out-of-town friends a great time even with middling conditions.

Nothing outside of the ropes was available today, but plenty of soft turns in the sunshine this morning followed by an afternoon of training for Cinco made for good turns and great times. Today's soup was lot 4 - what a swamp!

Nothing to add other than thanks for the great shot looking up C2.  It brought back a wave of nostalgia having lived up there 1970-72, the BIG snow years.  Haven't been there since they stopped the $10 Tuesdays a few decades ago.  I should come back sometime.  Can't believe that chair is almost 50!

Looky that, I just noticed that in 30 minutes it will be my 10 year anniversary at TAY. My how time flies.

Forget weekends, I don't even bother. I could almost skin up 2000 feet quicker than I would getting up the lift if you include all the waiting time in lifts lines. lol

And, there is a completely different group of people (more casual) on the hill.
Saturday was ski right on to the lift every run.
