Went up to the Methow Valley this past weekend to hangout with friends while most of them went xc-skiing.  A few of us went touring/ paragliding skiing.  Had a lot of fun exploring a few local areas that the locals call side country since you park your car at the bottom of the hill and skin up to the top Mtn.  We lapped and flew Cougar Mtn on the 16th and 18th.  First lap on 18th was excellent POW to bottom.  On the 17th we explored Rendevous Mtn and got about 500ft from the summit when we hit our turn around time.  From about 5000ft to 3600ft the Powder was Knee deep and great skiing,  Lower down covered was thinner and a little crusty but a lot of fun.  If any locals of the area read this love to know where the standard skin track for the upper part of Rendevous Mtn normal goes in.  It snow most of the weekend, but didn't see anything react likely because of lower snow pack there and we stayed off anything that could slide.
Let's see some video of the ski flying!

We were hiking the same valley on the 16th. Pretty cool hiking, right from the valley floor of Gunn Ranch Road. Too much snow for my collies though :O
