Stevens 1/12

When you live in the North End, it is sometimes just a whole lot easier to go to Stevens.  Yes I know, Crystal is so much better.  However --- Snoqualmie Pass was closed again all day-  but the drive up to Stevens was uneventful.  The stevens cloud was in full effect. Vis was poor to fair.  There was about 3 in. of new over firm.  That 3 in. helped a lot.  the off piste stuff is getting really rutted.  We had to hunt harder to find friendly bump skiing.  groomers and the base are holding up well.  Skyline had its usual mechanical problem and was closed for a while, though it was so foggy on the top 1/2 that it didn't matter.  Snowing when we left
