Steep, aesthetic, and fun! No wonder the East couloir on Guye is a classic! Thanks for the trip, Troy and Dave! Wonderful to get it with you guys.

We took an unconventional route up and found our way skinning up plenty of ice chunks and other tree bomb and avy debris. Once we gained cave ridge the snow was actually quite nice. Found some surface facets on slopes near the top, and the couloir itself was firm but skiable (I was also skier 6 of 7 for the day ...). Otherwise, it was a mix of condensed snow, light breakable crust, and icy tree bomb debris.

Cool to meet the group of 4 who got there ahead of us, looks like you had fun too!

We were socked in most of the day, with the sun making a brief appearance while we were at the top.

And the clouds poked through to reveal the true (South) summit (is there a good ski route over there? I've only scrambled over to it ...)
