Decided to cart the snowboard up Putrid Pete's Peak today with a meetup group just for fun. Some nice turns below the summit and through the trees. An incredible day to enjoy the mountains!

Nice! How was the snow up there? Many tracks? How far were you able to snowboard down to the car before hiking out?

Our group got a very late start we were able to break out of treeline but due to time restraints I was only able to snowboard the open area just below the summit and the trees where we came up. Snow on the way up is covered with fallen branches so the run was really short. I definitely want to go back now that the group broke a trail up. There is an avvy chute that would've been a nice run on the ridge and it would be easy to find the way back to the trail. No tracks whatsoever up there

Wow, reports of turns on Mailbox, Mt. Si (+haystack, no less) and now Putrid Pete's.  What creative trip will be next?
