Started the ascent from a cloudy Alpental lot with a couple other TAY members. After 1500' of climbing, we broke out of the clouds to find sunny blue skies and infinite visibility of the surrounding peaks. Nearing the summit, we observed some visible wind loading in places and a breakable crust on solar aspects. The slot couloir looked skied out so we descended the phantom slide path. The first 1500' we found fun turns in relatively soft snow. In shaded areas there was even some fun dry(ish) powder to be found. At lower elevations riding the trees involved dodging sizable tree-bomb craters.

Overall great day  8)
