Followed what I thought yesterday was a skin track partway up towards Tronson Ridge from near Kings Creek. Plenty of coverage even on east facing slopes but horribly heavy snow. Once I realized I was following a Sno Motocycle and not a skin track, I started down and made some of my worst turns ever without falling. The snow was only a food deep and so thick it couldn't really slide at that angle.
After driving home I need to amend my report. The heavy snow on the 30 degree slope I skied was not going to slide. In did notice that every single steep road it was sliding, snowballing and pinwheeling. Probably a good weekend to stay off steeps in that area.
