January 3, 2016 Stevens Pass

Snow started surprisingly early, around noon, on the many heavily groomed slopes.  Lines were minimal, 5 minutes at most once on Hogsback.  By 3 PM there was 2" new after about another inch blown in.  Hogs chutes had the best snow and wind-shelter combo.

It was cold, wind, and then snow today
When we went up to Stevens to play.
There were fixed heels and free;
Some of us dropped the knee---
I have one hundred months now of TAY!

Congrats on your streak,
triple digits is quite a feat.
I let mine out to pasture,
as this summer was hot and dry.
Now I must start again,
despite questioning, "Why?"
