Hi everyone-

I have a friend in town that wants to hit the slopes Sunday. Since its been dry for about a week, he'd like to visit the mountain with the best and most groomed runs. I'd love to show him around Crystal but we have to stay away from moguled-out runs. Does anyone have suggestions for the best groomed mountain?

Thanks!

I don't have much of an opinion. You could also post it on the Lift Served Report section.

For fun groomer runs, I really enjoy Mission Ridge.

The best groomers I've ever skied in my life are at Mission Ridge. They know what they are doing and take great pride in delivering a great product. I would not go to baker looking for groomers. Dodgy at best. I think people tend to ski what they know and I think crystal (although I haven't skied there for twenty years) is probably no slouch when it comes to groomers. Stevens might be okay but I think the vibrations there are aweful. Just my experience. (You cannot do this. I'm not doing this. Well whatever you are doing you cannot do it).

I *LOVE* Mount Baker but they should be at the very bottom of this list. You go to Mount Baker for powder, not great groomed runs.

Well if you really like powder, the real thing, Mission is better for that too. Most places get more snow in WA but the snow is almost always way better quality for powder skiing and groomers at Mission.

Mission for sure. They do a decent job grooming -- but more importantly there just aren't enough skiers to really build up the moguls like more popular resorts -- the 3 hour drive from Seattle thins the herd.
